Born and raised in Utah, Doug Clark graduated in 1997 from the University of Utah Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in economics and science. He worked for Colgan Air as a First Officer and Captain until 2004, when he was hired by SkyWest Airlines. Clark continued to work as a pilot part-time and weekends while he started Equity Capital Group and Clark Venture Capital in early 2005. He had gained a great wealth of knowledge about the industry and started giving advice to his co-pilots on flights. Doug realized how much he enjoyed helping others succeed using real estate. In 2011, Clark left SkyWest to focus his interests solely in the real estate market. Since 2005, his companies Equity Capital Group and Clark Venture Capital have purchased nearly 50 million dollars in property.
Doug’s success caught the eye of others and he was offered to star in a new TV show, Big Money, airing on ABC. Before Big Money Doug was previously the star on Spike TV’s Flip Men. As a knowledgeable real estate investor, Doug has also been asked to contribute or appear on FOX news, KUTV, Yahoo Real Estate, Realty Trac, Examiner.com, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Daily Herald, AOL Real Estate, KSL.com, and more.
Since Doug left his aviation career and followed his enthusiasm for real estate he pursued his passion to continue to help others. Doug has aided in the development of an education seminar that helps potential investors learn from others with experience in the industry. Doug enjoyed helping his co-pilots and now has the opportunity and the education to help others on a larger scale. As he says, “if I can do it, anyone can do it.”
